Sr. C/C++ Application Architect We are seeking a C/ C++ Application Architect for a global leader in software solutions for feature rich handsets and converged wireless devices. Our client helps their customers quickly deliver compelling products into the mobile lifestyle marketplace, using the leading OS platforms from Microsoft, Symbian, and Linux. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Architect with C/C++ skills, Win32 and Linux. Key Responsibilities * Responsible for the overall system design * Serve as expert in all aspects of designing and application development * Develop functional design specifications for software applications of moderate to high complexity * Document development requirements for applications and operation system environment * Design, code, and unit test software programs * Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures * Provide consultation on complex projects as the top level contributor/specialist * Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals * Keep abreast of new technology and suggest their application where appropriate * Lead software process development and improvement initiatives * Conduct training to engineering staff * Will be frequently assigned to the Technical Lead role on major software projects involving multiple development resources and significant interaction with other personnel within the business Qualifications * BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience * C/C++: 10+ years * Win32: 10+ years * Linux: 7+ years * Must be proficient in the use of Perforce or other source code control tool * Experience with defect tracking systems and the processes associated with them * Experience applying concepts of object oriented design on software development projects * Design/development experience with COM * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, client relations skills, and ability to work effectively as a leader in a technical team environment Desirable Qualifications * Visual Studio extensions * Experience designing and creating cross platform software * Web 2.0/Widgets The detailed job description is available here: http://www.agilerecruiter.com/agilecan/jobsview.php?RowId=1847 To indicate your interest and apply online securely, please follow: http://www.agilerecruiter.com/agilecan/starthere.php?job=1847 /j032508
